What I have done for majors:

First of all, I am fluent in both writing and speaking German. I spent a year abroad in Germany during freshman year. I have scored in the top 10% on the national German exam 3 years in a row. I have won german culture bowl 2 times.

In business, I have attended the Pennsylvania Governor's school for global entrepreneurship. I learned a lot there and expect a glowing recommendation from some of the distinguished people there. I did an internship at Goldman Sachs and will be getting a recommendation from the Vice President of the company who went to Wharton.

Other Awards:

State level Journalist Awards for Articles
National Champion at NFL's for Public Forum Debate

UPenn Wharton: Statistical Match

Rarely will I say this, but UPenn is a low match if you did an internship at Goldman Sachs and will get a glowing recommendation from a VP there. I don’t think UPenn can or will deny you, though it would still be smart to apply to a few safeties or other Ivies.

Just make sure you don’t send too many recs.

I think you have a good shot, but in response to what Bubbles wrote, a vp at goldman isn’t going to make much of a difference frankly. That’s not a very senior position in finance. A lot of it will come down to your essay
