Your EC and SAT are great. You need to boost up your GPA. Since you take a very vigorous curriculum this year, your chance is improved if you can obtain 3.8 or above. Work hard!

agreed about the testing. don’t worry as much about your standardized test scores (a 2260 is fine, I have one and was just admitted, not only to wellesley, but to smith with a big merit scholarship), but you need to work on your GPA. If you can manage As in all or most of your classes, you should do well, providing you write solid essays. good luck.

Eh honestly it kind of depends on how competitive your high school is, but you’ve taken a rigorous courseload and your scores and extracurriculars are impressive. I’m pretty sure my GPA was around the same as yours, and I got in right off the bat. Just work hard for your remaining time in high school, put effort into your essays and make sure Wellesley sees why you want to come here specifically, and I think you’ll be fine.

Yeah, I have to second what everyone else has said: Your test scores and extracurriculars are good. You have two more grading periods in which to raise your GPA a bit, so it can definitely be done. That said, your GPA certainly isn’t a deal-breaker. Get an interview, write good admissions essays, find teachers who can write strong letters of recommendation, etc.: these will all help your chances. Also, applying early decision or early evaluation (which is non-binding) will increase your chances of being accepted. Good luck!

I applied and got in with a likely letter with a 3.6 weighted GPA. You can check my post history for my other stats but I’d say Wellesley definitely looks at your overall package.

Thanks so much everyone! These replies are so helpful and somewhat give me hope. I feel like I need to confirm that I can’t get in so I can fall out of love with Wellesley and salvage my emotions when I (most likely) get rejected.

@merryhappy did you get in?
This thread is from 2012. It looks like the OP started at Bryn Mawr and then was seeking advice about transferring. Not sure if she was admitted to Wellesley.
