My name is Ariana, and I go to an all-girl's IB boarding school in Maryland right now. I'm applying to just Exeter because I'm already at a pretty good school. Please be brutally honest with me, because I know that my chances might not be too good. Thanks!

SSAT:
I'm re-taking it in February, but in 8th grade I scored a 94th percentile. I expect it to be around a 95th percentile or higher.

Essays and Rec's:
Essays: Very Good
Rec's: Awesome except maybe just good for math, but it's a course that freshman almost never take in my school.

One huge problem: My school is very old and obsessed with traditions, so there are no leadership positions available to freshman. What should I do?

no problem explain it to them in the interview its fine and ur not like most candidates that are cocky and just brag and list as many activities that they did even if they did it once like 5 years ago

About Leadership Positions: Just say that it’s not available.
It’s not like they expect you to go to another school just to be in some Leadership Club.

You seem like a great candidate!
Because your math grade seems a bit low, study uber duber hard for the math part of the SSAT to prove that you’re actually pretty good at it. (=

Yeah that’s what I’ve been doing. My extra curricular rec was my math teacher before he moved me up which they don’t usually do at this school, so I’m counting on him a little too. (He’s also my Ice Hockey coach and advisor) Thanks :)

You seem like a strong candidate. I would say you have a really good chance with your varsity athlete/good grade combination. Have you spoken with coaches for your sports?
