Extras: sister went to Columbia

My main worry is my course load is not rigorous enough (it is the most rigorous available at my school). Also, my older sister went to Columbia so I’m not sure if that would play into anything. Would anyone be willing to not only chance but to recommend some other safeties/matches please?

You have an above average shot at all of those schools. Good luck!

bump

You wont be penalized for course rigor if you are taking what is offered at your school. Other than not being able to take AP physics C, things look good to me.

You are a competitive applicant. Your stats and ECs are great. Your URM hook will probably help your profile a lot. Write good essays and you could get accepted to any of these schools

Write strong essays and get solid LORs and you’re a likely candidate for some

I forgot to add this but does anyone have any idea how class size would affect me? I’m worried colleges will sell my app short because of it.

Thanks! Do you think my class size will be a disadvantage in admissions?

No, you wont be penalized for the size of your school.
