Interviews went well also I think. My interviewer at Andover was super srious but I think it went well.

I'm doing my applications right now

BTW does the graded essay that you're sending the schools matter a lot?

TY SO MUCH GUYS!

bumpingg it

Your are definitely qualified but you never know with some of these schools.

Exeter- Reach
Andover- Reach
SPS- Reach/Low-Reach
Deerfield- Low Reach/Match
Choate- Low Reach/ Match

Do you speak all 3 languages fluently? Being a polyglot is always a good thing. Speaking French AND Korean is pretty impressive.

What?..If you say its a reach for A/E then its a reach for SPS and Deerfield also. And no way is it a reach for A/E and possibly a Match for deefield when they actually have the lowest acceptance rate of them all with 18%. Just though I’d throw that out there so the OP is not mis-lead with those stats.

Yes. I was born in S. Korea and we speak korean at home.

I moved in Canada when I was 5 and speak very fluent english.

I also go to a french immersion junior high school with 5 of my academic classes in solid french (in class and out of class)

I speak, write, listen to french very fluently.

I’m kinda afraid of my recs tho cuz my english + math teacher are kinda mean to me.

My history teacher wrote great recs for me tho :stuck_out_tongue: cuz he showed me haha.

I’m also applying as a sophomore.

Question - How many students based on grade do they take in a year? Reply if u know :stuck_out_tongue: Greatly appreciated

It matters which school your talking about A/E are a little bigger than SPS/DF. But its a good amount of people.

From the Andover web site:

so guys do u think i have a good chance for deerfield? I wannna go to deerfield really bad cuz my friend goes there, and he says the foreign languages rock. I want to learn latin :P

Oooo! Latin! Me too… maybe we’ll be latin buddies. =]
Anyways, you seem qualified… but unfortunately that’s the extent of what we can offer you. Maybe your personality sucks, you come of as arrogant, you write *****ty essays, etc… all the stuff that can’t be conveyed over the net.

But yeah, given all of that is false, I think you have a great chance! Good luck. =]

haha sweet man! ty for the help

I want to go to deerfield also… hope to see you there!!!

sweeet! im doin my apps right now. i have 5 to do! yikes!

sigh. i did so bad on my ssat though. a composite score of 86. thats not good at all. maybe theres no chance for me Dx

What?! That’s an excellent score!!! You have a sharp chance. I’m starting to prepare for the SSAT’s I’m taking them in the fall of '09. You can never prepare too early. LOL

86 puts u in the running…dont worry about it.

:P thanks, and best of luck to you. btw haha i recorded like all my songs + pieces i plyed last year in the talent show. i won 2nd place. :)

Yeah, some people still get excepted with like a score of a 70%.

oh. i never knew that. btw if u record stuff and give them the cd. is that a benfit or an advatnage?

my mom said that’s stupid but the admissions ppl said that I should.
