Counselor said my essay was 9/10 ish.

My biggest worry is the GPA. I’ve got decent-ish test scores, but Math is my weakest subject.
Thanks!

Boy or girl? Ethnicity? In state?

ECs and test scores are really strong. Georgia Tech no longer recalculates GPA, so your 3.689 Unweighted is what they will see. I think your GPA is low for GIT, but you have a really rigorous curriculum to make up for it. Georgia Tech is probably a high match for you.

@JKUM22
Asian Male OOS

Applicants with those three ^^^ have it harder than anyone. ~10% of OOS applicants are admitted, much less Asian males.

I think you have a good shot, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you get deferred.

tbh, it seems like you are hyping it up…i mean, the volunteer pit thing you broke it up into different sections which is probably just different concerts right ? and for 2nd alternate doesnt that mean that you didn’t make it ? so it’s completely meaningless.

Lol yeah good luck with that :confused: oos asian male is not a good combo

I say you’ll definitely get in! You have really good extracurriculars so that will make up for your GPA.
Chance me back?

Thanks for the input! What’s your applicant profile like?

GPA: my school doesn’t calculate GPA but I think it is around 3.7 unweighted and 4.4 weighted.
My school calculates weighted numeric average which I think Georgia Tech takes as it is.
