Thank you so much!!! :)

It may be a slight reach.

Because your school doesn’t rank, it’s going to be hard to place you in the context of your class. A 90/100 is a 3.6 if you convert it, whereas the average Emory student has a 3.8 GPA (you may want to add on your application that you believe your school is competitive and somewhat deflated, but I’m uncertain if adcoms may see this in a bad light). Most will be decided on your SAT then, which is also below the median. Your ACT, however, is above the median (I think), so they may excuse the slightly lower score on the SAT. Regardless, you definitely have a good shot.

Good luck.

you have ok chance. but here are some of questions that might affect your chance:
-are you applying for aid? if so chance go down a little.if not your chance go up
-are you asian? if so piano thing doesnt look very important/impressive
-is your parent working there? is so you have 60% if not doesnt matter
but:
your act score is great :slight_smile: send that in. gpa is okay. if you show A LOT of interest I say you have a 45% good chance

btw upenn/john hopkins is almost no chance unless you are hispanic/african american/native american

@herpderp2: Thanks for your comment!

@emory83: First of all, thanks!! I’m an asian and I really didn’t expect my piano will be very impressive, too. I’m not applying for aid and I’m a boarding student which means my parents are in Korea and I live in school!
