Based on the information you provided, I think you should consider Georgetown as a stretch school… Your grades and test scores are fairly well below the median’s. Have you taken/are you taking any AP’s? SAT II’s? Also, you haven’t provided any detail about your “story”, so it’s hard to say if there are mitigating or counterbalancing circumstances.

If you are willing to provide more information, it might be helpful to round out your profile; otherwise, given your posted stats I think Georgetown is a real longshot for you.

It is a reach, but I am also retaking the ACT. I got above 30 on each section when I practiced them seperatly, but when I sat down for the actual timed test, I ran out of time on reading and science.

Unless you are a highly recruited athlete or you have a hook, your chance is minimal. Your scores are below average even as a recruited athlete.

Definitely a reach with that GPA and those test scores. I know someone who who had an SAT of 2200 and staright A’s who did not get in. Are you active in EC’s or community service at school? You could retake your SAT but even that may not help with an UW GPA of 3.78. You’re an author though so maybe you can write a killer essay that will make the Admissions Committee take a second look. Good Luck!
