Please Chance Me

Hi, im a junior who will be applying to U of M early with the following stats. What do you think

GPA: 4.3 weighted, 3.7 unweighted, 3.55 UM calculated GPA by the end of junior year
OOS student attending a magnet math and science program in high school that is highly competitive.
Class rank is within the top 10%

Classes i will take senior year: AP Physics C, AP Lit, AP Gov, AP Econ, Magnet Internship, Magnet Research( these are classes associated with an internship i will take senior year to get my magnet seal), AP Statistics, Honors Anatomy.

SAT: 2090( 630 CR, 790 Math, 670 Writing), I plan to take it in june and get it up to a 2150-2200 atleast.

Extra curriculars
Policy Debate 3 years
A lot of tennis in my free time for last 8 years.
Played in the band for a coupule of years.

I will have around 50-100 hours community service and my level of interest would be very high since, well, i was born in Ann Arbor and would like to go back. My recommendation will be excellent b/c they will be written by the two heads of the magnet program i attend.

Any input would be appreciated and if you would like more info, just ask. I think my GPA is a bit on the lower side but that is mostly because i took a ****load of difficult classes. What do you think?

I think you have a decent chance of getting in if, like you said, you apply early. Just make sure your essays are solid, because I think they are more of a factor than people realize.

Those are some pretty impressive schedules, which I’m sure do much more than make up for the GPA. You should definately be in.

match
Gpa is a little low, but the high class rank makes that up. your SAT is score is average, but if you can reach your goal of 2200, you will be good.
