Please chance me!

Normally I hate “chancing” threads, but I have another year left until decisions are mailed to me. I’m only a junior, so I haven’t received my SAT scores yet. I’m thinking my superscore was somewhere between 1900-2000.

I’m hoping to apply to Georgetown’s SFS (a huge longshot, and my highest reach), Barnard, George Washington, American, U of Virginia, NYU, and University of Pennsylvania. I’m also planning on applying to a few schools in the UK, and the American University campus in Cairo.

Thanks! :)

SATs are a bit low but everything else looks great and they admit holistically so I think you have a good shot :).

I agree with rainbowrose, everything looks great.

However, how do you know your superscore if you haven’t received your scores yet? Do you mean your PSAT score (/predicted score)? If so, it’s important to remember your actual score can be very different. I did WAY better on the SAT than the PSAT, but there are also people who do worse.

Be sure to visit, if you haven’t done so already. It’ll help clarify your priorities and it’ll make essay-writing much easier.

Just to expand on ch0c0lat3’s SAT comment… I’m one of those unfortunate people who did almost EXACTLY the same on her PSATs and her SATs TWICE ■■■ >.<.

Thanks guys! I was just guessing on my superscore, my PSAT was around 190.

I’m an Egyptian and you can get into AUC no sweat. All you need to get into AUC (as an Egyptian at least and they WORSHIP foreigners here so im assuming you dont have to do any better) is a 1450 SAT, and English proficiency. No SAT IIs, no ACT, no extracurriculars, no nothing :)

Oh, wow! It’s really great to know that about AUC!

I am wondering why you want to apply to UK too coz it seems you are not in a UK-system school… I also applyed some UK unis because of my school but I personally dont like the education offer by UK universities especially in terms of “liberal”.

I am only really interested in a few UK schools. Overall I agree with you that the UK system is the polar opposite of the “liberal arts” education most U.S. schools attempt to offer. Although I love Barnard, which is a liberal arts school, I’m also 100% sure of what I want to study in college so going to a school where you only study one subject (like Oxford or Cambridge) actually appeals to me.
