Hi!

So I am fortunate enough that my school has a very casual policy regarding letters of rec, so I have been given all my letters to look over and even edit before the teacher signs it.

I have asked 3 teachers for my recs and one is outstanding I'm going to use it for sure.

Now I'd like you guys to have a look to see which one of the other 2 recs left is better?

Thanks in advance :)

LETTER OF REC 1 - BIOLOGY TEACHER (A Level)

I have known ME for the past five years as his Biology teacher and in my role as Senior Manager for Curriculum. From the word go, I have been fascinated with MEs multi-faceted personality. He is both creative and logical. He is able to write lengthy pieces of prose for his literature course and analyse scientific theories accurately with equal ease. ME has an insatiable quest for knowledge and his enthusiastic attitude towards education is exemplary.
As a student, ME exhibits a higher level of maturity than his peers. He is very focused, works diligently and is always able to meet deadlines. ME is a confident young man and makes the most of the learning opportunities that come his way. He is an auditory learner and makes the most of class discussions. ME never shies away from asking questions, debating over issues and discussing matters for a complete understanding of concepts. MEs written assignments are always original and reflect a thorough grasp of ideas. He is able to communicate his thoughts very clearly and effectively. Recently, ME wrote an essay on Biodiversity and Conservation after sifting through numerous resources and researching to find out the most recent developments in the field. His assignment was brilliant and was selected to be a part of a school publication.
ME shares a very comfortable relationship with both his teachers and his peers. He is always willing to lend everyone a helping hand. In fact, I am amazed at the number of things ME accomplishes in a single day. It is not uncommon to see him studying earnestly in the school library before assessments but yet finding time to run errands for his teachers or friends during a lunch-break. ME has a very good sense of humour and is always spreading good cheer. This year, he was elected the President of the schools student council. In a short span of time, he has organised several activities around school and won the admiration of his peers.
ME is a voracious reader and loves ancient Greek, Roman mythology. His knowledge of these ancient cultures is fascinating. He is also a very keen in acting and singing. ME has written, directed and acted in several staged school performances. ME enjoys singing very much and often recites opera arias for his friends.
I have thoroughly enjoyed knowing and teaching ME. I will always remember the very cerebral and challenging conversations I have had with ME on a variety of issues. He is a very determined young lad and is committed to succeeding. ME has what it takes to emerge on the top.
It is for these reasons that I offer high recommendations for ME without reservation. His drive and abilities will truly be an asset to your establishment. If you have any questions regarding this recommendation, please do not hesitate to contact me.

LETTER OF REC 2 - English Literature Teacher (As Level)

ME is an academically and creatively gifted student, who has distinguished himself in the school community as a young man of diligence, of determination and, above all, of integrity. I had the pleasure of teaching him AS Level English last year.
In class, ME is a source of unique and insightful contribution. He has a broad base of knowledge about the wider world and uses this to inform his reading, drawing inferences from across the Arts in his interpretation of literature. He is also a skilled researcher and explores a vast range of texts for cross-reference. I remember one particular lesson when he was able to explain a point of Wildean humour to the class by citing contemporary Victorian musical traditions. Quite extraordinary!
ME exhibits an uncommon level of skill in interpreting the writers intentions and links text to context with flair. He is highly articulate and eloquent in conversation and has a gift for expressing his opinions with verve and charisma, a skill which is paralleled in his essays, which are both cogent and compelling.
He supports his peers in class, giving constructive feedback on assignments as well as offering tips for exam preparation and essay planning. His work places him consistently at the top of the class and he also spends time in independent study and wider reading. He is the one to whom other students turn, when in need of just the right word.
Personally, I think I will most remember him for his fabulous performances during our dramatic readings of the plays we studied. His feel for Wildean humour led to possibly my favourite ever performance of Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest.
His interaction with staff in school is at all times helpful and friendly and he is one of the students on whom teachers call, when in need of assistance, due to his maturity and good interpersonal skills. As President and longest running member of the Student Council, his strong sense of social responsibility is self-evident, but what impressed me most, when I sat in on one of the meetings, was his ability to enable the younger members of the school. His interaction with them was warm and facilitative, encouraging contribution and participation.
ME is a student destined for success in whichever field he selects for specialisation. His easy social grace and wide range of interests make him a valuable addition to any student group and I have no doubt that he will go on to achieve great things. It is my opinion that any university would be lucky to count him among their alumni.

Well, that would be it! What do you guys think? Are these good recs? Is there anything anywhere that needs changing/adding?

Thanks for the help again :)
