Some schools account for WUE and/or scholarships for stats in their net price calculators. Try the net price calculators.

Many schools will effectively give you just the larger of scholarships, WUE, or financial aid grants. I.e. they do not “stack”. It is best to assume that they do not “stack” unless explicitly stated.

Is it necessary to provide both SAT and ACT scores to UC’s when applying? I feel that overall the ACT represents my abilities better and it also puts my math scores into the 75th for UCSB.

Does anyone have any experience with boise state or NAU engineering? What about kettering? I qualify for a pretty generous scholarship and great financial aid there. Any other smaller engineering schools I am missing?

I just did and it looks amazing. Thanks for the suggestion, that is exactly the type of school I am looking for! Did you attend Clarkson?

Anyone have feedback on Reed or Williamette’s 3-2 programs? Seems interesting, and it would be awesome to be able to attend one of the higher end universities that they funnel “grads” in to.

Relatively few 3+2 intending students actually transfer to the 2-school and complete the engineering degree.

Students may not want to transfer away from their small school to a big school, or transfer away from their friends.

Admission to the 2-school may be competitive.

Financial aid at the 2-school may not be known until you are admitted.

The 3-school may limit your choice of major there, even if you could complete a different major while taking the engineering prerequisites specified by the 2-school.

I did not, but I grew up in that area. My cousin is an engineering grad from there (too many moons ago to be useful). He speaks highly of the school though was AFROTC and has been a career officer (doing engineering) since since graduation.

Right now I am planning an applying to:
UCSB (MechE #1, Earth Sciences #2)
UCD (MechE)
School of Mines (MechE #1, Earth Sciences #2) ← dependent on financial/merit aid. I think I would go here for either degree if I get accepted.
Clarkson (MechE) ← waiting to hear from people who have attended. It seems like a lot of people hate it.
Lehigh (MechE)
UNC Chapel Hill (MechE) super reach.
University of Alaska Fairbanks (PetE) ← visiting soon, so it will probably be crossed off… I will need another safety.
