Hello, I am a 24 year old man who received an associate's degree in Computer Information Systems 2 years ago. I have decided to attend college again and I am wondering if you could give me some advice because I am not completely sure what to major in.

First of all, I have visited several college counselors, and they have recommended me to get into a major in which I can transfer to a University (my current A.S. degree is not transferable). Due to a busy schedule, I cannot visit a counselor to talk to them about this until days later of registering for my classes.

Anyway, from all the majors that my community college could offer for transfer, I have decided to major in one of the following fields: Computer Engineering/Computer Science, Math, Business Administration with emphasis in some area, or Economics with emphasis in some area.

I will now give a brief description to explain why I would like to major in one of those areas:

Computer Engineering: I like computers, and I would like to learn math, so I thought, if I study math, why not study CE as well? However, there is a huge problem with math-required majors. To begin with, I still need to take trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus I, calculus II, physics I, physics II, etc. for lower division courses. This alone would take me 2 or more years to complete before transferring to a University since I would take only one math class per semester and the math courses are not always offered during every semester.
There are also some courses that are required for the major that are not offered in my community college. In this case, I would need to take the courses somewhere else. This would definitely make me spend more than two years in college before even transferring to a University.

Computer Science: I am interested in this field only because I like computers and there is not any other computer major offered by my college. I have had beginning programming courses back in college, and although I didn't like programming that much, I am still kind of interested in this field. However, I don't see myself programming every day for the rest of my life, so maybe this is not my career of choice after all... Since a lot of math is required for this major too, it would also take me a minimum of two years to complete the lower division courses before transferring to a University.

Math: I would like to learn math as a career choice. I always was good in math, but I don't know how good I would be in a class like calculus. I don't know what kind of jobs I could get having a math major, but I would not like to become a math teacher; that is why I rather would take computer engineering or computer science since they are math and computer related. Choosing a math major would definitely take me more than two years to complete before transferring to a University since I would need Calculus III as well.

Business Administration with an emphasis in some area (accounting, finance, information systems, etc.): A like business stuff to a certain degree. However, I read that this is one of the most flooded majors out there and landing a job is kind of hard to achieve with this degree; I have also read that it is the reason why Business Administration degrees are pretty much useless. Is the major "useless" even if it includes an emphasis in some area? If I go with Business Administration with emphasis in some area, it would take me about one year at college before transferring to a University.

Economics with an emphasis in some area: I really have no idea what this major is about, and I do not have the time to research it right now, but all I know is that it is business related. I have read, however, that some people consider this degree useless as well, but I am not sure if they consider it "useless" for the same reasons as Business Administration.

Well, I really hope you guys can give me some advice. I need to register my classes very soon.
