Please help me here

Hi people, I'm applying for grad schools in Europe. I'm from S. Korea, and as I don't have any full-time experiences, I can't apply to schools in the US. However, I thought that someone could give me advice if I posted my story here.
I majored in International Relations in undergrad, but I have some problems here.

First of all, I have low GPA compared to other candidates. I only have B+~A-, which would be around 3.5. I took as many courses I can in IR, but I didn't do that well. However, I've done some related activities since high school, and I wasn't sure if these experiences could help at all.

Second, although schools that I'm applying for don't require job experiences, I think many of applicants would have full-time experiences. I only have internship experiences, which is about one and half year in total. When I get into grad school, I will have more than 2 yrs work experiences in global politics. I took as many opportunity as I can, because I wanted to set clear goal in my life. Somehow, I strongly felt the need to pursue further study before having full-time job experiences. Do my internships also help? (my school gave me scholarship to work in related organization, in another country. i actually worked as a reporter in one of UN Forums for six months. Another 6 months in small NGO that delivers aids, and I'm now currently working for a think tank that focuses on North Korea. But as many of you already know, the only thing that I could do in these organizations are translation/assisting my boss on researches, because he isn't good in English. One more thing, my boss in a think tank that I'm working for as an intern, wants me to extend my term untill next year)

Third, about statement of purpose. I started my paper three months ago, but I see nowhere going right now. I want to focus my study in International Conflict Management in MA, because my special interst lies on armed conflicts in Africa. Can any one give me tip on how to write a SOP? Does it have to be gneeral or being specif sounds better?
