I am junior in a high school of a small town in upstate NY with a 7-12 high school population of 289 and decreasing. My college options so far ar University of Pittsburgh, Penn State, Cornell, Temple University, American University,Georgetown University and Boston University. Right now my overall weighted is a GPA is a 91.94. I am 6/42 in class ranking. This year I am taking two AP’s, psychology, and US history, I also plan on taking as many AP’s as I can, my school barely has any. I am a three sports athlete soccer, softball, and indoor track. I am a captain of indoor track, the second year of the student council, and vice president of the council this year. In NHS, interact club, class treasurer for two years, varsity club treasurer and member, and a geometry tutor. I have many volunteer hours at places such as the humane society, litter pluck, helped at dinners, ball run, community events, and much more. I am a first generation student for college. I have a part time job. I have not taken the SAT yet,but I am taking it this Saturday, December 3. My PSAT scores come in next week.If I missed something please ask. Sorry, it is so messy.
Very impressive ECs and good GPA. You plan on taking the highest level classes in each area which is also very good. As long as you do fine on the SAT you will be in very good shape for the schools you listed. Obviously Cornell is always competitive, but you’re pretty much a write in at this point for Temple, Penn State, and Pitt. Good luck on your SAT! Depending on your prospective major I’d also recommend taking SAT Subject tests this spring or next fall.
