Go to UCI already

In all seriousness, my friend just transferred to UCI as an econ major. I'll ask him how he likes it.

aight, please do so!~

just a hint of advice, but if you'd like to go for medschool, Bio majors are highly overrated....they're looking for more diversity....personally, a psych major wouldn't be too bad...UCSB has a good psyc program (if none of you have looked on the works of professor cosmides i'd recommend if you're interested in psyc)....and honestly....it wouldn't really make a difference....UCSB/UCI stand in similar regard with most medschools....all that really matters is how you do, how much you do, and what you do.

exactly
but i read an article before that someone says, a school's culture is very important to you i mean, what culture fits you most

i like hangout with asian friends, UCI has a lot, but too bad the school is a hard school. a jail
UCSB is cool,. but a party school is all people know about it..

i think you should just go to cal state

Yeah ignorant people. It's one of the top schools for Nobel Prizes awarded.

Seriously, fantasy05, you need to get over those idiotic stereotypes. UCSB is a research giant, and has many excellent professors in several fields. Or are you just trolling now?

UCLAri, i am all serious now, cuz Nov16th is the last day to submit SIR and make a final decision
i understand UCSB is a nice school as you said, but isnt it too borin to me, i mean, im not a party person, all i heard from friends(asian friends) are, UCSB is a party school, dont go there, it sux!, ok, so im not being biased. but i still wonder is UCI can provides a better environment to me..
also UCI campus is small, not that good, all asians, speak some gualaguala, well but at least it isnt a party school and a little popular than UCSB,
am i right? correct me if im wrong.

i thank you sincerely for help me out along the way, but still cant make any decisions..

Well, ultimately it's up to you. I wouldn't take too much stake into what your friends say about the schools, research them yourself and decide where you like the programs offered and the type of environment.

I could say that for myself, I love UCSB. It has a great campus and professors, it's so awesome that everyone lives together, and there's nothing like stepping out of the dorms and walking about 200 feet to the beach to relieve stress.

Really, my only complain about UCSB isn't the fault of UCSB at all, and that's the fact that Santa Barbara really isn't a big urban area. I'm from San Francisco and I miss seeing skyscrapers and walking through crowded downtown streets. Then again, Santa Barbara also has a unique charm that you won't find in many other places in California.

a lotta asians there or no

Jesus, fantasy. Why are you going to college in America then?

YES. 10% of the campus is Asian. That's A LOT.

man, UCI is like 60%, hHAHAHAHAHH
AKA. UNIVERISTY OF CHINESE AND INDIANS
NOT BEING RACIST, SOME ASIAN FRIEND JUST TOLD ME THIS..

thats not true... its UNIVERSITY OF CHINESE IMMIGRANTS. ya? but actually there are a lot more koreans there... at least i know more koreans than Chinese.

I get the feeling that you want to go to UCI. Just submit your SIR already.
