<p>you really need to visit each school to see everything for yourself. i'll be transferring to UCSB this winter quarter from a pre-dominantly asian neighborhood in san diego. i'm filipino. i've been surrounded by them my whole life. so i won't deny racial percentages as a factor in my personal decision. change is good. if i was choosing between UCSB & UCI, i know that UCSB can offer me a greater sense of independence that UCI can't.</p>
