Can someone who knows about College Board score sends help me out?
So, basically, I sent all my colleges my super score, but they aren’t receiving my Superscore for some reason. They only received my subject test scores that I sent the same time.
At least that’s what it says on the portal. It doesn’t say they received my new SAT superscore, it only says they received my subject scores and an old SAT I score.
What should I do? I sent them my superscore three times, I don’t know what to do now. Can anyone help please?
CB doesn’t send a “superscore” - that’s something that the colleges concoct from your SAT score reports by combining the best section scores from different tests. Nor will it send anything other than what you direct it to do when your order your score report. If you are ordering an SAT1, it will not send some section scores and omit others. It sends the entire test results.
Some college portals might be delayed at the moment due to the timing of the holidays, but eventually anything you send to the schools should get there and get logged on the portal. For RD, we sent our son’s tests in mid-November and it took about a week for CB to send them - and even longer for the Score Send page to provide that detail. That seemed longer than usual, and definitely longer than we sent out his scores for early action. CB and - usually - the colleges themselves urge applicants to send in a timely manner.
If you are finding that what you ordered isn’t what is showing up on the admissions portal, double check the e-receipt you or your parents should have received when you sent your scores. It will include exactly which tests you actually sent.
@JBStillFlying Thank you again for your input. It’s extremely reassuring. I accidentally sent the same score twice (one school got it three times) to my schools. Would I be okay?
Re-sending scores won’t negatively impact your decision but it won’t get them over there any faster, either. Save your money for something else, unless you have discovered that you still need to send the correct SAT. Also, keep in mind that not every school superscores - some schools will use your highest composite. Others only look at section scores, and others still (though not many) require all scores from either SAT or ACT. So just make sure you understand what the policy is for each school.
They will get there. It took my daughters SAT scores 1-3 weeks to show up. Some schools accept the scores electronically, but others need to too be mailed in (all of this will be done by College Board). After receiving them they still need to be processed and added to your application. It is a process so be patient… I ended up spending an additional $12/ per SAT only to find out that the SATs were posted the next day. Also, the spending will be done on the university level. Some universities require all SAT scores to be sent. Pay attention to this. But, I think it will tell you which ones require what.
