Please help! Regarding UCLA application

Hi!
I had applied to UCLA, and just yesterday, I got the email from UCLA saying my application had been received. It also said that I should visit Current Applicants - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions for more information. I went to the site and there was one link for 'admission decisions'. For logging in it requires my last name, application id, date of birth and city of birth.
My question is, that as far as I can remember, there wasn't a single place in the whole UC application where my city of birth was recorded. So how am I supposed to login?

I am fully aware that admissions decisions do not come out till March, so is it that the site isn't even operational until then? Because nothing on the site suggests that. And even if it is so, how am I supposed to ever be able to access the site if my city of birth hasn't been recorded anywhere in my application for me to login with? Did I miss some important form? Because I'm quite sure that in the UC application there was no place that asked for city of birth.

I would really be grateful if someone could answer this question. Because I'm getting paranoid as hell!

Hi there, i’m a freshman at UCLA. As far as I remember, all you needed to check if you were admitted was your UC applicant ID number and maybe a password. They wouldn’t allow something as trivial as where you were born to get in the way of you finding out your admission results. Relax! This is an incredibly stressful time for high school seniors and you have every right to be paranoid but everything will be fine. If you need official confirmation, feel free to call the admissions department at UCLA. I’ve called a thousand times to several different departments and everyone who has answers has been very patient with me.

Good Luck!

The application asked for your “Place of Birth” when you set up the account. If you log back into the application to look at your receipt, the “Place of Birth” should be right below your “Date of Birth.”

My son applied Nov 16th & hasn’t received a confirmation email from UCLA. So far he’s received one from UC Irvine UC San Diego, but not UCLA, Davis or UCSB. Should he expect to receive it soon, or should he contact the schools? He wanted to have a look at the UCLA Alumni Scholarship application, and she what essay(s) were required, but can’t because he doesn’t have a UCLA application ID #. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks so much!!!
I found it! Id filled in my current city there by mistake!
ive changed it! Thanks a lot you guys! :)

@Mumstheword - Dont worry you should hopefully get it soon…as long as in your UC app the ‘date forwarded’ is given, that means the campus has received it! I still havent received my Berkeley confirmation email but on the app it has a forwarded date, so im assuming they’ve received it. If I dont get one by say, 10th Jan, only then will I start worrying. Im not too fussed about that yet… Im an international student so I cant help you with this scholarship stuff. All the best! :)

I’m freaking out over the topic of sending transcripts! I swore that I read you are not suppose to send UCLA your transcript during the admissions process until the very end of senior year, yet on the theater supplemental materials list on the website it lists that you bring an unofficial transcript, different than the one you sent to the admissions office?!? HELP! Was I suppose to send one with only my classes on it since my semester grades aren’t available for colleges until the beginning of january??

No transcripts need to be sent until you are accepted to a UC school and you sign an intent to register. No need to worry!

@sonushukia…thanks!

@mumstheword2

Thanks so much! I’ll just bring an unofficial to my audition, thanks!
