My daughter has just dropped out of a 4 yr school that promised help and then gave none. Desperately trying to find a good fit somewhere in Maryland or surrounding states. She did well at Montgomery College and got a Math Waiver (after a year of showing the disability). Then she went to a 4 yr school that did not work out at all. SHe has a long history of ADHD, depression and anxiety as well as the math disability.
Please tell me how to find the best schools in this situation or if you know of any that might be willing to work with us.
THANK YOU!!

I hate to say it, but you may have to expand your search beyond Maryland. Unfortunately, this area may be worst. In Pennsylvania you might check out Bryn Mawr, Haverford, Gettysburg and Lafayette. The best in the country for inclusiveness, understanding, nurturing, helpful environments are the Claremont Colleges in California: Scripts, Pitzer, Claremont McKenna, Pomona (Harvey Mudd is very math oriented), and once accepted to one, you can take courses at any and all. Also the midwest in general is a far superior environment for the qualities listed above; and there are a bazillion schools: Coe, Kenyon, Carleton, Macalister, Beloit, Oberlin, etc. Visit and speak with the student services folk – in most cases you will know immediately. You’ll either get a “no problem” vibe or a “no way” vibe. The right schools do exist, but not so much in Maryland.

Augsburg College in MN. Not local to you, but has high LD awareness/support.
