im currently a nervous wreck. About 3 weeks ago i sent in my suny application, paid the fee, and uploaded my essay. However i am applying to the fashion design program and did not upload my portfolio yet. Is it too late? It is now January 1st and i dont know when a deadline is. I am just very confused on the requirements because for the prompts it says to send in like 6-10 sketches (front and back included). Does this mean that you send in 6 to 10 pages with 2 sketches on each (front and back)? or 6-10 sketches aka like 5 fronts and 5 backs. Im so confused. Someone please help me before i literally die.</p>
<p>I think when they send you the email to request for your portfolio, they would say something like you have 4 weeks to complete it. And if you cannot make it within the timeframe, it’s to your advantage to submit your portfolio as close to that due date as possible (anyone correct me if I’m wrong :D)</p>
<p>I can’t answer your portfolio question though. I’m applying to the Photography program, knowing nothing about the Fashion Design portfolio requirement

<p>hahah good luck and thank you! it said that so the appropriate due date would then be jan 5th . However i keep hearing and seeing that the priority deadline is jan 1st. Ugh i guess ill just have to wait and see…</p>
<p>When i went and visited FIT, the admissions person that talked to us said that you have to wait for the email from them telling you what they want and when they want it. I remember her also saying that if you send it before they ask you to,they throw your whole application in the trash. I think if you are still unsure you should probably call the school and talk to someone in admissions.</p>
<p>hey.am kind of in the same situation.i called FIT regarding this issue and all she had to say was that “They do not have a deadline for the portfolio”.If you get to know anything please keep me posted.I would do the same…</p>
