Please!! I Need Help Asap-- I Have 2 Decide By 2mr Mornin!! Au/wpi??????!!!!!!

hi, i have an extremely difficult decision to make and ASAP!! (my family has declared 2mr morning my deadline cuz thyr sick of me)

I got accepted with the same amount of scholarship to both American University in D.C. and Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA.
I have no idea of what i'll eventually do but for now, im interested in biology- biochem, pharmacy, medicine.. i don like d fact dat medicine takes so long so i may go into law and economics, investment banking or even try engineering! i kno dat's a lot, but hey i av time to decide.. rite?

So i'd basically like to go to a university dat will allow me to keep my options open and allow me to explore as much as possible.
At first i thought, definitely WPI, cuz it has stronger science departments than AU and offers a wider variety of science majors- engineering etc.. that weren't available at AU.
But then, some older, more experienced, working friends mentioned that the experience at AU would be totally unique and beneficial and that even though AU doesn't offer as strong a science department and as many science courses as WPI, what you do undergrad doesn't matter as much, and that i would get a good education there as well as a wonderful experience and make tonnes of lifelong friends.

i want to know what u guys think? AU or WPI? should i forgo the chance to explore the engineering field and major in biochem, econ.. forgo a solidly established science school for a more liberal arts education?

im also worried about career prospects. i think if i went to WPI, id be able to start working from the undergraduate level cuz i could double major in biochem and something else, maybe engineering that pays well. But if i went to AU, i wouldn't cuz biochemists aren't paid well at undergrad and id have to do postgrad- pharmacy or go into law or something else.

by the way, i'm an international student and not at all interested in politics, government or journalism...

but i'd like to open my own company one day

IM RLY CONFUSED BT NEED 2 MAK A DECISION NW OR I CUD MISS OUT ON BOTH SCHOOLS.. SO PLS RESPOND AS QUICK AS U CAN, ID RLY APPRECIATE IT!!
Thanks!!!

WPI. American is still second tier in DC and unless you're doing IR, business you'll be disappointed. You can always do a semester in DC to get what the "older, more experienced" said. You'll get a very good education at WPI and work hard for it too. At AU you could slide by, but in the long-run you might not be satisfied. Plus, as an internat'l student you might thrive in the less humanities/social science atmosphere of a tech laden WPI. American is "politics, government..." even if you're not majoring in any of those fields. And you will get a very good job coming out of WPI in four yrs, whereas w/ that American degree you'll probably be needing some grad work. You'll miss out more w/ the AU education than WPI one, so go to Worchester and while you're getting your undergrad there, do a semester at American or another DC school to see what you gladly missed. No brainer-- you should go to WPI get the strong science degree then you can open the company. Many AU students do public work and are not as entrepreneurish as I bet many WPI grads are. But a true maverick drops out after one yr and starts something like Microsoft, though, he was a Harvard frosh.

Thanks Charlie!! i really appreciate your input, it was very helpful..
i thought so 2 :)
