'cause the universities that do give aid won’t accept a 2100 sat score…BTW my parents are trying to sell our home to finance my education…sad but true

Lol, 2100 is more than good enough anywhere.

Also, if it is coming to the point that your parents have to sell their home then it is NOT worth it at all!

I will buy back the house once I start earning…and dude my story is very long…story of how a guy from a middle class family was left with no other choice but to turn to USA for under graduation…I’ll PM you if you’re interested…BTW where are you now these days aniruddh…India or already in college…and if the later then which one

makes for one hell of an essay topic. Consider the high end colleges as well; you wont be disappointed. It’s worth it.

I’m interested in the story,PM me! :)

also if US is your only option and you need aid, why are you applying to only Tier 1 universities, try applying to a couple of tier 2 universities, they’re normally pretty generous with aid.

give some examples of good tier 2 universities

maybe a “please” would go a long way in getting your queries answered. You take it for granted that everybody here is going to help out.
learn to use google once in a while or read some of the numerous threads on CC/the Indian forum about colleges with aid.

Anyway,heres goes.
They arent tier 2, but they’re generous with aid/have low tuition.
Illinois Inst. of tech, SUNY , CUNY, Arizona state.

Cooper Union is very elusive. Why’re you applying there anyway?
You have fairly decent chances at the rest of your selections.

I am not a guy with loads of money. Though pretty elusive Cooper union is my only chance of getting a full tuition waiver . BTW I’ve already deposited 70$ application fee so i don’t think i can back off now.
