Id really appreciate it if someone could post the 2011 or 2012 USNEWS Undergraduate business rankings. Thanks in advance.

[USNews Top Undergrad Business Schools](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/business-overall)

Keep in mind that for business, the USNews and BW rankings are not 100% accurate. The top undergrad business schools are:

TIER 1:
UPenn Wharton

TIER 2:
NYU Stern
Michigan Ross
Georgetown McDonough
Berkeley Haas
UVA McIntire

TIER 3:
UT Austin McCombs
UNC Kenan Flagler
CMU Tepper
Emory Goizueta

Other good programs are Boston College, Notre Dame and USC.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ha!..good one

so you are saying that MIT’s Sloan School is not even in the 3rd tier of undergraduate business schools?

Georgetown has top business program? That’s new to me even though I know quite a bit about finance/accounting. In what area? I am curious

JamieBrown - Oh, sorry. MIT’s Sloan would go in tier 2. Sloan is a VERY small undergrad business program; sometimes I forget about it.

Sam Lee - Yea, Georgetown’s McDonough is a good business program overall. It’s a fairly strong semi-target for Wall Street.

Does anyone have the extended list of rankings by any chance?

Here is the list for 2010. I would not imagine that it has changed significantly since then.

Looking at multiple rankings, here is what I believe, it’s a little bit more reasonable.

TIER 1:
UPenn Wharton
MIT

TIER 2:
NYU Stern
Michigan Ross
Berkeley Haas
UVA McIntire

TIER 2/3
Emory Goizueta
Notre Dame
CMU Tepper

TIER 3:
UT Austin McCombs
UNC Kenan Flagler
Georgetown McDonough
Boston College -Carrol

Note that 16 of these schools are publics, and 9 of them are Big Ten schools. The only Big Ten schools not included are Northwestern which doesn’t offer undergrad business, Iowa which is just a notch back at #28, and Nebraska, a Big Ten newcomer and laggard in some fields, at #69.

Does anybody have the new, 2013 US News Undergraduate Business Programs rankings? Top 20, Top 25? Thanks!

Go to HYP, or go home.

Likewise, go to Wharton/MIT, or go home.

First HYP don’t have undergrad business

2nd use the business weeks ones not because they are better (mendoza #1?) but because they show you all the different stats of the schools (average starting salary, job placement etc)

@warblersrule,

Thanks a lot!

How can Georgetown be ranked so low? Its Wall Street placement surpasses all but Wharton on this list. shaking my head

^Well like half of the wall street grads come from the SFS anyway, it draws talent from the school

Where does Bentley rank at this time?

Why is it so many students from top schools think their school has the top presense on Wall Street second to Wharton? Haha. So Georgetown beats Harvard, Yale, Cornell, MIT? Wait, Dartmouth students say they have the most placements, second to Wharton of course. No, it is NYU because it is in NYC.

Truth is, all of the target schools are recruited. You only stand a chance for an interview for an internship if you have a very high GPA from a target school. If you get the internship, then you have to get the offer. Once you get the job, you have to keep it.

My D, a second yr analyst at a top BB, knows students who got an interview but no offer for an internship. She knows interns that did not get offers for jobs. And she knows analysts that have been fired. She works with people from many different schools. Basically, the school you attend may help you get the interview, but then it is entirely up to you!
