Please provide feedback on my college list

Hi
I am a junior female school student and finalizing my college list.
I am 4.0 student, 35 composite ACT score, 10 Essay writing score both in ACT & SAT, 2210 SAT with 800 writing, 229 PSAT (so above cut-off on NMSF), Speech and Debate extracurricular with great tournament wins, volunteer in Health Clinic.
I want to do BS/MD programs and also have some backup options for BS programs.
I also want to keep AZ local options.
Can you please provide feedback on whether this list makes sense?
Should I move some of colleges around in this list?
My long term goal is becoming a Surgeon but I think that I might end up in some Research field in Medicine eventually.

I also need to keep my costs/year to $20K or less.

BS/MD

Rice University/Baylor
Washington University in St. Louis
Case Western Reserve University
Boston University
University of Alabama
University of Pittsburgh or Penn State/JMC
University of Miami
St Bonaventure/GWU
Drexel University

BS

Emory University
Tulane University
Vanderbilt University
University of Arizona
Arizona State University

Also considering

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Virginia Commonwealth University
Creighton University
Swarthmore College
USC
College of Holy Cross
Kalamazoo College
College of Wooster
William and Mary
Southern Methodist University
Knox College
Davidson College
Wayne State University
Notre Dame
Purdue University
Duke University
Carnegie Mellon University
University of Pennsylvania,
University of Rochester
Tufts University
Cornell University
Carleton College

You honestly have a shot at all of the colleges you listed, given your achievements. (However many of them are still long shots for anyone…) Be aware that all of the BS/MD programs, even those at “lesser” schools are about as hard to get into as the ivies

I am planning to only apply to the 1st 14 (Not the Also considering) on the list.
When I list “Also considering”, wanted to get feedback on whether any of them needs to displace the 1st 14 on the list.

Be aware that the “BS/MD” program at WUStL requires students to get a 3.8+ GPA and 36+ MCAT in order to be guaranteed a spot in its med school. You could get into any number of medical schools with those numbers. For comparison, the average admitted stats at Duke Med are 3.74 and 34.

Many of the others have GPA and MCAT requirements as well, though lower.

Your list contains a lot of out-of-state public universities (Penn State, Pittsburgh, Alabama) and private colleges with hit-or-miss financial aid (BU, St. Bonaventure, Drexel, GWU, CWRU, Miami), both of which tend to be expensive. You would probably get a merit scholarship at several of those, but check them all out carefully to make sure they’re affordable.

Since you’re a NMF, check out the list of colleges that provide full tuition (or more) scholarships to NMFs.

It’s the cost that will limit your choices the most.

That said, you have a chance at all those schools.

RPI also has a BS/MD program with Albany Med. Interesting list.
