Please recommend business schools in big cities!

Yeah, I’ve been doing research about UMNTC and it’s AWESOME! I just hope I get in, it is sort of a reach for me.

In response to a previous poster’s comments about checking out other countries such as Australia, as you can see I’m from Australia and I’ve got some comments on that. You stated that you don’t have the stats to get into a US news top 25, and so most employers in your country are likely not to have heard of whatever college you attend. I deduce that many students go to the US rather than countries due to the international reputation of colleges like the Ivies, however, if you are seeking a decent education from a moderately respectable but not ‘famous’ college, definitely look into Australia. Off the top of my head I’ll say our two best universities are the University of Melbourne and the Australian National University. Melbourne ranks somewhere around 34/35 on the QS world university rankings and I believe ANU is a bit better ranked but I’m not sure. ANU is located in the capital city which by many people’s standards is very boring and generally horrible (it was specifically designed as the capital and is filled with politicians). Melbourne on the other hand is a vibrant, cultural hub and is loved by many Australians. I looked up ANU’s tuition, it differs for different degrees but I saw that most of the degrees don’t go over 30k/year. The tuition at Melbourne is around 33-36k for a bachelor of commerce (appears they don’t have a bachelor of business). You’d still have to cover living costs on top of that but I think you could get away with a room in a share house or something for $150/week and then leave about $50 for food, so about $200/week, leaving you with around 10k in living expenses a year, that’s speaking for melbourne though which I’ve researched more than I have Canberra (where ANU is located).
Also- living on campus in Australia tends to be massively expensive (we’re talking 20k/year at melbourne residential colleges/halls, but that comes with lots of added bonuses like tutoring).
Other than melbourne and ANU, google “Go8” which stands for “Group of 8” and have a look at all those unis, they’re Australia’s high quality universities. Check out university of Queensland too (I think it sits around 63 on Qs world rankings). I had a look at their fees and for business related majors (they’re separated- commerce, economics and management, there may be some other finance related majors too) the fees were around 32k
Keep in mind most universities in Aus tend to be research but they have massive undergrad populations too

TLDR; check out ANU, UQ, uni melb and other Go8 universities in Australia.
