Please Reply!!!!My chances at the Ivies, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, and Wash. in St. L

I had almost identical W and UW GPA and rank, but had 100pts higher on the SAT and a bit more on the ECs and was rejected at Princeton & Yale and wait-listed at Dartmouth & Cornell. So I would say you have minimal chance at top Ivys & Stanford and somewhat more of a shot at lower ranked Ivys, JHU, WUSTL. My advice would be to take the SATs over and try to narrow your list of schools so you can justify applying somewhere early (which will at least double your chances). While coming from Pakistan may not be a hook, I would still discuss it to some extent in your essays because it is still interesting and uncommon and would be one thing that would make you unique as a candidate. Don't underestimate the essay component. After taking the SAT over, you'll have done all you can on the scores side and that will be set, but you can still have the chance to positively determine your fate through a good, thoughtful effort on the essays.
