School of interest:
Ivies, Stanford, Duke, John Hopkins, Emory, Northwestern, USC, MIT, NYU, University of Washignton

Thank you very much!!!

I forgot to mention I volunteered over 900 hours, won numerous awards for that I think 8 awards in total.

You seem like you have a pretty good shot, but for Ivies, no one can know.

However, I’d suggest you check your spelling. You spelled “weighted” wrong.

I thought nmf status wasn’t released until September? Anyways, your SAT is kind of low for HYPSM. Is there any way you can retake? Your PSAT is really good so I wouldn’t be surprised if you were able to pull 2300 on the SAT after a second attempt. If not, HYPSM are high reaches with the rest being low reaches. Emory, JHU, Northwestern and USC are around high matches.

I agree with sumobats, I’d say that Emory, JHU, Northwestern and USC are probably best matches!

Actually, I think that OP might be okay for Stanford. They tend to focus less on test grades than HYPM; however, it’s impossible to say for anyone. Still, OP’s extracurriculars are really good.

Great ECs! If you can raise your SAT score, I think there’s a good chance at all your tops schools.

You will get into a reach school. Several maybe.

What does OP mean?

(The person who wrote the original post)

Great ECs and ethnic background. If you raise your SAT I score, you will have a good shot at nearly all the schools. Best of luck

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! ^:)^

I would say yes, but since your race falls under “Asian”, and it’s been proven scientifically impossible to stand out as an Asian, you’ll really just be entered into the Asian Student Admissions Lottery (or ASAL), which, at most of these schools, you have about a 1.4% chance of winning.

Good luck though!

@swiftninja - I’ll second agopal2’s comment. If you bring up your SAT score to the level of your PSAT score, and submit applications with strong essay and good recommendations, and also interview well, I would expect you will be accepted to most (likely all) of the schools you apply to.

I’d recommend you decide on one of Stanford, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton to apply SCEA. The odds of acceptance seem to be better at these schools when applying EA, and if you are accepted, you will have a short list of schools to apply to RD (no safeties needed).

I agree with @bldrdad. Increase your SAT1 by 100 points and you will have a strong chance at HYPS. Pick one and apply EA/ED.

Taking “AP Psychics” is the most unique thing I have ever heard of. I think that alone gives you great chances anywhere.

I thinm you have a shot at all the schools. The SAT could be better but it is certainly not bad! Seems like everything else is sweet though!

RSI alone will qualify you to one of hyps

Haha, my History teacher told us about that article and how stupid it was.
