Is taking AP Physics necessary for applying to PLME? If not, what is the chance of getting into PLME with Honors Physics, AP Chemistry and AP Biology if all of the other stats and EC’s are excellent?

There are no “necessary” courses for admission to PLME - they realize that high schools have different course offerings. What Brown and PLME are looking for is that you’ve challenged yourself within the context of your high school - if AP Physics is offered, they’d like to see that you take it, though your application certainly won’t be thrown out altogether if you don’t.

Thanks Bruno. I always look for your posts and I was hoping you would reply. Would it help to explain in the PLME portion of the application that there wasn’t any room in the schedule for AP Physics?

No. Use that valuable space to show off you.

Don’t bother. They understand that students need to choose classes and that it’s impossible to fit everything in.
