PLUS Question...2 girls in 2 schools...

I have not applied for a PLUS loan before. Now I find myself with 2 daughters in 2 different schools. When I go to Sallie Mae to fill out the application...what do I do? Will I begin with one girl (whose fin. aid report is complete) and see that one through...and then go back when the next fin. aid report is complete and do that one? I don't really want two different credit checks (maybe the first one will be sufficient for both)...will taking out the first loan have a negative effect on taking out the second one?? I'm basically living at poverty level right now, one daughter will be a senior in college; the other a freshman and their dad divorced me last September...are we having fun yet?

You should probably call the lender to see what the best method is. While you will have to have two different loans, they might be able to process them through only one credit check.

I don't have an answer to your questions...
Just wanted to send some hugs to you. Sounds like you are having NOT much fun right now.
I'd vote for calling Sallie Mae. I have had good experiences calling directly to our lender. Best of luck
