<p>During my freshman year I was simply un-motivated and did not care about school. </p>
<p>Sophomore year my biology teacher helped me get a little bit more motivated about school.</p>
<p>Junior year, I again had the same teacher for an elective, science class. He helped me join the STEP Program (Science Technology Entry Program), a program that assists minority students get a more broadaned view in the fields of science and technology. I won at two local science fair competitions.</p>
<p>Senior year, I again have the same teahcer for Advanced Science Research. All of my classes are college level, and I'm taking three science classes (AP Bio, physics and advanced science research) I'm excelling in all of these classes with a 95 GPA. I have already won at one local science fair. I will be participating in two more fairs before the end of the year. I have also been intensly studying Astronomy all year in preperation of the science bowl competition.</p>
