During the summer of 2006 I attended:
National Youth Leadership on Medicine, Summer Program in Boston, Massachusetts
We talked with the Surgeon General of the United States, Richard Carmona on Leadership in the Field of Medicine. We attended MED Sessions where we talked about Public Health and specialties in Medicine. We participated in a public health symposium and workshops on current medical issues. We were visited by professors and doctors from other universities and hospitals who talked to us more about what their jobs are and gave us advices. Furthermore, I attended a seminar in University of New England on the Osteopathic Medicine. I had the opportunity to practice this kind of medicine where I practiced primary care medicine using only hands. Also, I had the greatest opportunity to act as a shadow for a Cardiologist and later witness a neurosurgery. Furthermore, I practiced to take blood pressure and learned two basic suturing techniques. :D

Haven't taken the SATs yet which was stupid on my part..a big mistake but if I get at anywhere between 2100-2400..

Projected SAT II
Math IIC: 750
Literature: 700
Chemistry: 700

Recs: I can get some pretty outstanding recomendations, in the 1 semester I've been at my school, all my teachers pretty much love me. Awesome relationship with my counselor, too.

12th grade
Semester 1:
IB History of the Americas
IB English
IB Chemistry
IB Pyschology
IB Theory of Knowledge
IB Math
IB Spanish

Semester 2:
same except SAT Prep Honors instead of Theory of Knowledge.

I'd like to know my chances for Medical Schools. I want to major in Bio-Chemistry or Neurology. I want to be a neurosurgeon so if you guys have any input on whether what i should major in plz let me know. A lot of the schools interest me but Harvard is my number 1 school!!

Harvard University (MA)
Princeton University(NJ)
Yale University(CT)
Stanford University(CA)
Duke University(NC)
Columbia University(NY)
University of Chicago(IL)
Dartmouth College(NH)
Cornell University(NY)
Brown University(RI)
Northwestern University(IL)
Johns Hopkins University(MD)
Georgetown University(DC)
New York University(NY)
University of Rochester(NY)
University of Pennsylvania(PA)
University of Florida(UF)

I know those are all IVY league schools with the exception of UF but if you could plz chance me and let me know of more safety schools maybe? I would appreciate it.

I'm not really sure where else to look for unis. Anyone have any suggestions of what kind of unis I should be looking at? Maybe some good safeties? I'm a first generation college student, and come from a pretty low income household (< 30k/year). I'm Turkish and i do have legal residence here. I'd like my chance with the current scores and then the projected scores if you all would be so kind..

What is your ethnicity?

Doesn't the National Youth Leadership on Medicine cost a few thousand dollars?

Anyways, your GPA is strong, but your SAT 1 and 2 are unknown.

All Ivy except UF, what are you smoking? NYU, University of Rochester, JHU, Georgetown, UChicago, Stanford, and Duke are not Ivy. And why do you want chances for Medical School, if you haven't even done your undergrad.?

lol well I meant that they are top universities in the nation..And I just saw my mistake for wanting chances in Medical Schools..

I meant to say my chances in the schools that I have listed which have good Medical programs.

Oh and Im caucasian..

^ very bad. caucasian. lol

noone here can really chance you unless u have a real, sold, non-projected SAT score

You're going to want more schools in the URochester range (from what I can tell,Rochester would love to have you) that are a step between Ivy-elites and state school, but schools that you like and schools that you think will prepare you well for what you plan to do in the future. You're a top student at your school, but for every high school in the country, there are a bundle of top students. It's not quite enough to secure your admission to most of the schools on your list.

and btw, some of your stated awards really arent gonna help your chances at those ivies because theyre not state awards, but rather awards given at your school o_____O

All the ivies are gonna be reaches/very high reaches for you

Hope you get a lot higher SAT II scores than the ones you project. Math IIC should be closer to 800, Lit and Chem need to be at least 750 if not higher.
