why? 10char

i guesss im looking for a way to stand out amongst thousands of other applicants

The way to stand out is to write something so personal, detailed, honest and revealing that, at least as a target, no one else on earth could have written it.

Simply choosing an unusual format, by itself, will not allow you to stand out in a positive way.

Now, if you were an outstanding poet, if your poetry was truly excellent, if you've won awards for your poetry, if what you had to say could only be presented, or could clearly best be presented, as a poem...in other words, if your material demanded to be presented as a poem, then you would have good reason to use a poem.
