policies for non-american doctors?

i'm a canadian highschool senior hoping to practice medicine. from my limited understanding it is difficult for international students to be accepted at a prestigious american medical school, and as a result I will probably have to receive my degree somewhere else (eg. toronto, UBC, mcgill, maybe even possibly a school in korea).

what will this mean for future job prospects in the USA? how will this affect employment oppurtunites or my ability to establish my office in the states? how will my pay be affected?

thanks

Graduates of Canadian and British medical schools fare well in obtaining residency spots in the U.S., unlike graduates of Carribean medical schools.

The 17 accredited Canadian medical schools, in fact, are represented my the the Association of American Medical Colleges along with 125 accredited U.S. medical schools. (Goto www.aamc.org for details).
