I plan on taking my time as I go through my undergrad, so that I can truely learn for application purposes in my future. My plan is to go to the College of Charleston in the spring of 2011. However, I am trying to get a good grasp on its actually ranking for its political science program. When I say ranking, I do not mean it as an overall raking necessarily, but more as a strength of program to use as a platform for law school. I chose the College of Charleston for its scenery, sense of relaxation, and generally the overall vibe I recieved when I visited the campus. So, I pretty much want to take my time and learn everything I can possibly learn in a comfortable environment, before pushing myself to my breaking point in law school. Now, my actual question is: If I graduate with a 4.0 or near and take part in multiple school organizations and clubs (i.e. SGA, Model UN, etc.), where does that place me in the graduate school realm? Will Ivy League schools consider me (assuming I do well on my LSAT, which is part of the reason I plan to take my time)? I ask because I really love the college, but I could get into a more prestigeous school if need be. However, that is where I truely want to be. So, what is the general consensus on this? I'm looking for an answer that possibly gives a vague percentage of chance, based on a successful C of C career.
