Political Science with dual citizenship

Hey all

I have both the American and Egyptian citizenships but I’ve lived most of my life in Egypt. I feel like I should also mention I’m Muslim. I’m going to university in the US soon and I want to know if Political Science is a practical major for me to study. I’m very much interested in political science but considering my dual citizenship, would I really have a future in the field of political science?
I’m asking about the field itself. I know I could use the degree with a minor to go into HR or Sales or whatever but about actual politics. I’m asking for the sake of practicality. My second choice is Computer Engineering (I know I know, opposite side of the spectrum but I actually enjoy programming :P)
I’m most likely going to live and work in the US after I graduate.

Eager to hear your opinions and advice!
Thanks

Why would dual citizenship per se have any impact on what you may do in political science?

@ucbalumnus idk. That’s my question. I don’t know if it will affect anything and if it does, how it will affect it. Obviously I can kiss running for any government position goodbye but that’s not my plan anyway. What can I do with the degree?
Sorry if my question might seem silly but I honestly don’t know

It shouldn’t affect anything. It might be a benefit, particularly if you know/speak Arabic.

Also, why would you have to kiss running for office goodbye? You might have to renounce your Egyptian citizenship if you got to that point, but cross that bridge when you get there.
