politics guy, but with intel?

<p>I was wondering how top colleges will view a person if his ec/passion focus around politics and writing, and his application addresses it, but he also has won science compeitions, like Siemens or Intel? (not neccessarily win, but made semis etc.)</p>

<p>will this be a plus or negative?</p>
