Also, when did you wake up, and how long did it take you to get ready in the morning? Just curious, haha. Thanks!
For me, (middle school) we start at 7:15.
I wake up at around 6:35, and leave the house around 7:08-ish, which means it’s around half an hour to get ready.
However, this’ll drastically change next year in HS, when I’ll have to be bussed.
High school starts at 7:30, I usually wake up at 6:15, leave at around 6:50 and get to school at 7:10. I don’t go to the high school that I’m supposed to go to, so I don’t get a bus
Middle School - 7:45
High School- (will be) 7:45
Start times are going to change next year for elementary, middle, and high schools so that’s why the start times appear the same.
Currently I wake up at around 6:50-7:00 and catch the school bus at 7:19. I usually have 20 minutes to get ready. The high school is farther away form my house so I’ll have to wake up earlier. :shudder:
High school starts at 8:15, so I wake up at about 6:30, make sure my homework’s done, eat something quick, get ready, leave the house at about 7:55, and then reach in time to talk to some friends for 5-10 minutes.
Get out, @sternyc
You need to suffer with the rest of us!
On a serious note, I wake up at 6:15 to get to school by 7:30, and barely make it (I feel like Indiana Jones). I don’t even have time to eat much of anything, which sucks.
Middle school started at 7:45
High School
Zero: 7:00 ( I wake up around 5:00-5:30)
Regular Start time 8:00
School starts at 8:00. I wake up at 6:45 and am out the door by 7:00 to go eat breakfast.
The high school I teach at starts at 8:20 (and my kids complain about it being too early! #-o )
HS for me started at 8:15, and I usually got up around 7 or 7:15.
Nowadays, any class before 10 is a bit too early for me.
HS starts at 7:30 am
I wake up at 5:40 am (chores, breakfast and a younger brother to help out)
I get to the school at 7 otherwise I won’t get a parking spot…
@hungryteenager Eh, that’s only for freshie people. Next year, lucky me gets to start class by 7:05. So, I’ll be suffering more than any teenager ever should.
Here’s to falling asleep in class. raises glass
OKAY, so this is the last year my high school starts at 7:20 and ends at 2:05.
Next year, the county is switching HS and MS times because high-schoolers “need more sleep” so it will start at 8:10 and end at 2:55 (which was the times when I was in middle school).
Personally, I like the earlier start/end times because of after-school activities plus I like getting out earlier.
Oh, I forgot to mention…once APs are through (aka 2nd week of May), I will be picking up late arrival. That means I’ll be getting to school at 9 am. CANNOT
WAIT FOR THAT
School starts at 9am for me. 1 1/2 hr commute. I should be waking up at or before 7am, but I usually get up around 8am and leave just before 9am. Old habits die hard.
School starts at 8:00 for me, I normally wake up around 6:00, then just sit and stare at my ceiling while lying in bed procrastinating whether or not to get up now, or in 5 minuets. Then at about 6:30 I start getting ready and usually finish around 7:10. I eat a quick Apple and leave to get there around 7:30, where I just walk around school and talk to friends until 8:00.
School starts 7:20 on the dot. I normally wake up at 6:45, in the car by 7 and in the building by 7:17. I already have everything packed and my clothes picked out. My mom makes my lunch (bless her) so there is nothing except washing up and being in the car. I always cram for tests in the car and eat breakfast during first period (lettuce or an apple). Sometimes orange juice. I’m too lazy to take the bus. The bus stops at 6:20 at my house and most people at my school are up by 5. Its terrible. I don’t even wear makeup cause I’m that lazy.
We get out at 1:50 everyday, technically. Sports aren’t till 3 so most people hang out and are in clubs, classes, ECs, during this time. I’m after school every day and get picked up.
It’s so great that I live 6-15 minutes away from school (depending on traffic).
@SirSly same!
I’m in middle school now, so school starts at 8 and ends at 2:50. I wake up at 6:20 because the bus comes at 7:10.
Next year, I’m going to a magnet school which starts at 8 and ends at 3:50. Clubs are included as part of the school day, because people come from the surrounding counties and the school doesn’t want them to be excluded.
7:55, unless you want to take a zero period, which starts at the ungodly hour of 6:40. I usually wake up around 6:30 (I’m really slow to get ready when I’m half asleep and I get there early to beat traffic).
We do have late start at 8:20 (and no zero period) on Mondays, though.
School starts at 8:47 am on Tuesdays
And every other weekday at 8:05 am.
I get up around 6:45 (I shower the night before). Leave out at 7:45 so I can get a spot on the oval (no student lots at school, so it’s like the hunger games for 250 students who drive cars)
First bell rings at 7:45, signaling the start of the day, second bell rings at 7:55 signaling the start of class, third bell is the tardy bell at 8:00. I get up at 7:00, leave at 7:30, get to school around 8:00. Class ends at 3:00.
