Hi! I'm going to my POSSE Scholarship second-round interview soon and I was wondering what I should expect. What should I be prepared to discuss? What are some things they might ask? How should I dress?

Hey! Not sure if you have gone yet, but if you haven’t…

Dress business casual. I went with a nice blouse and dress pants and flats, nothing too extravagant but not too casual either. Expect to be asked how being in Posse would benefit you specifically, about your transcript, clubs, and officer positions, what makes you stand out, what your hobbies are, what role you usually play in a group, what type of leader you are, and questions based off of what you tell them about yourself. It’s quite short and very relaxed, the interviewers are lovely people. Wishing you all the best!

I’m also going to the second round interview. I’m quite nervous about it. I have no club leadership positions so it scares me. I’m going to POSSE miami by the way.

I went to POSSE Miami too! I didn’t have any leadership positions save for working on the newsletter for one club, so I was really afraid as well. However, I think I managed to stand out in my own way and they were really lovely people. As the scholars say, I guess we just have to trust the process. Good luck!!

So did you win the scholarship? Which school do you attend? Haha it’s a small world @nrnr29 thanks!

@Marrissa Not sure! I have to wait until October 24. Well, all of us do. I’m a senior myself, my interview date was just earlier. I’m dying to go to Mount Holyoke! And it truly is. :)

@nrnr29 Thanks for the advice! My interview was last week and it was really relaxed like you said. They pretty much asked everything you mentioned too. Thanks again, your advice really helped! :)
