possibility of going to grad school?

In other news, the ASPCA released a statement today that they are looking for a suspect accused of beating a horse after it was already dead. Anyone with information on this heinous crime is encouraged to contact the proper authorities.

I would take a little bit of your own advice here – as a vast number of the lower-tier students take your spot in grad school, just be happy where you are.

Why are you so judgy towards everybody else?

Perhaps, they feel something similar towards you.

And… How do you differentiate yourself in this respect?

Well, then, perhaps instead of insulting the school in a roundabout and invalidated way – you could have refrained from saying anything at all.

These comments are incredibly childish, and if you feel like you’re being treated like a child – perhaps it might help to evaluate the image you’re portraying.

Just a thought, but maybe you should take one of the offers.

Yes, I agree with you completely. You certainly worked very hard to get where you are and I don’t think that anybody can take that away from you. In fact, I’m very proud to be where I am as well – anybody who has read my glorious posts about Purdue will know this  However, from an outside perspective and judging from the posts you’ve written here, I think you have a lot of growing up to do. It seriously might be worth your time to get out into the world and gain a little perspective about life – then, go back and follow your dreams to a PhD and work at NASA – I had to take a similar route before I ever even enrolled in college.

That’s it, I’m sending in aibarr.

The other MIT post finally died and so should this one.

Alright, alright, I think the horse has had enough!

“I just think its ignorant in general to assume I haven’t worked hard at MIT when I could have easily gotten a 4.0/4.0 at any Texas school without trying and most schools in the country.”

I’m rolling my eyes at this one. Are you sure you didn’t leave depressed b.c. you suck?

I hope you aren’t referring to my argument about MIT prestige value. Prestige is not a higher level of education.

OP, you are obviously unworthy of MIT. MIT is all you know; you can only speak for it. You can’t speak for Polytech, or GT, or the Texas schools. You can’t speak for Cooper-Union, or Columbia, or Rose-Hulman. You do not really know them.

As engineers, however, we can speak for ourselves. I’m sure many of us on this board could have above a 2.8 at MIT.

Okay, sorry for commenting guys. I’ll let it die. Posts like these **** me off.

DS= dear son.

DS’s experience, UG stats, and whom he currently works with in a graduate school, getting into a engineering grad school is very difficult, even with good stats and LORs.

You can’t let this thread die anymore.

IT’S TOO LATE.

I love how AuburnMathTutor was so supportive, and MITgirl calls him judgy.

Eh, some people are just insecure. And does anyone here ever know what LongPrime is talking about?

I don’t know, but I found a video on Youtube where whom I can only assume to be this girl is expressing just about the same sentiment as in this thread, but worse. It’s really worth watching for a laugh, if you’ve got ~7 minutes.

Well played.

You thought it was funny, too?

Next time, using ■■■■■■■ is probably best since it will disguise the link a little better… that is my preferred method to get people with the LMGTFY trick.
