Possibility of transfer for int'l students seeking aid

<p>I am satisfied with where I am going but I can't stop striving for the better. But it looks like this is impossible as most (almost all) universities do not provide financial aid to transfer international students.</p>

<p>I can push up my SAT scores to 2300+ and improve my essays significantly but I do not have any ECs worth mentioning. </p>

<p>Can anyone tell me how important is performance in first semester of college for transfer students?</p>

<p>I don't want to go through all the trouble that applying and retaking SAT entails unless my efforts have some realistic chance of success.</p>

<p>Any honest opinion will be appreciated.</p>

<p>SAT scores aren’t all that important. Your performance as a freshman (both academics and ECs) will be more important. However, I wouldn’t bother - the rate of acceptance is miniscule.</p>
