I am considering going to ccac, and using the pche cross-register thingy to take c programming and the data structures courses. If I was to get a's at ccac, and at the cmu classes, could I get the teacher's recomendations?

In high school I have already taken cmu computer science, one of the cmu instructors came along and taught the course. I got a b in it.

Would it be possible to transfer over to cmu junior year if I did well at ccac?

My high school grades did not pick up until my senior year because of issues I was having, and I did not take the sats. :(

Hah, I'll take that as a no...

I also wasn't clear on something. I should have said, at ccac they have a pche cross-registration thing with cmu. If I took two classes at cmu, would that help? Possibly c programming and the data structures classes.

You can't take 15-211 the data structures class until you have the prereqs which include 21-127, a discrete math course and 15-111, an intermediate Java course. You can get AP credit for 15-111 though.

You can't take 15-123, the intro to C course, until you've taken 15-100. But if you have credit for 15-111 (ie, that same AP credit) you can take it.

Yes, if you take these courses and get A's in all of them you likely could transfer. But Data Structures as well as 21-127 (which is called "Concepts of Math") are fairly difficult courses. I wouldn't count on A's. I'm afraid I don't really know the mechanisms for transfer applicants, but obviously if you show aptitude at the subject matter you would be looked at favorably.
