Possible to Add Score Results to My Commonapp After Submitting to Other Schools?

I took the ACT last month (and probably won't get my results until around November 8th) and took the SAT IIs last weekend (and won't get those results for another month or so).

If I submit my application to EA schools, can I edit my application to add my test results for RD schools? Or will I have to create an alternative application?

once submitted to a college your only alternative is to create an alternate version to send to the other schools.

Are you sure?

Would it be possible to put the test dates and types but not scores and put them in later?

Why would you want to add it to the Common App? Don’t schools want the scores to be officially reported to them directly from the Board anyway? Then that’s what you should do.

I will officially report/send them as well.

Do you think it would be okay if I just send the official score reports and don’t put some of them on the commonapp?

Yes you can put the tests and the dates on the common app and leave the scores but if you send the app to the college you won’t be able to fill in the scores once sent. you WILL have to create an alternate version. Choco - you would want to add it to the common app in case the app gets there before the scores do - they can start looking and evaluating. They won’t however, take your word for it which is why the want teh official scores from collegeboard. It just makes it easier for the reps that’s all, and that is something you definitely want to do - like making an essay easier for them to read.

@concerned123,
Thank you very much. :slight_smile:
Also, I took the Math 1 subject test and got a 670 and retook it last weekend and believe I significantly improved my score; should I put the 670 on my app or wait for the results of the retest?

Alternate versions are pretty simple. Just go down the instructions part of the common app until you find application versions. They are easy to use - I have 3 versions right now lol

@waitingforivy,
Thank you! :slight_smile: I was worried they would take long to complete.
