Either way. It's only my first try, but I think I'll settle for a 2230. It could be worse, right? :)

NO MORE SAT for MEEEEEE!

Congratulations to all.

I would be curious to know whether second- or third-timers who took the March 10th SATs benefited from a paid course since earlier tries or did scores stay about the same? Thank you.

1st try: 2250

Math: 720
CR: 730
Writing: 800

Mom of second timer vouches for test prep (and AP English), depending on the student's learning style.
Daughter's scores second time up 120 points in writing (probably mostly due to AP English), 70 points in verbal, 10 points in math (her strongest subject).
Hypothesis: test prep classes help most in the student's naturally weak areas. And they help best for students who need some structure and support in making themselves prepare.

im so stupid... i felt so nervous
then i see my 1470.. great... im not going to college.... im so frustrated...even the speds in my school got a higher score than me...

how do you get your essay score? someone please tel me. and how do you see which questions you get wrong and what raw scores you got?

Prep is definitely worth it. My score went up 200 points with private tutoring. I'm a senior this year and am just deciding where to go next year, but the prep my parents paid for was well worth the money.

Anyway, my sis got her score. 1880 overall. It sucks though because she was scoring over 2100 consistently on all her practice tests. I guess she'll just have to take it again.

First time: 2240
M-780
CR-720
W-740
Essay: 11

Weird how some peopel think this is a bad score. Although maybe im fine with it cuz I know other parts of my app (GPA, rank, etc. ) are excellent. Plus, I got Subject Math II 800 and Chem 780. People shouldnt feel down about being in the 2200s!

math-590
CR-640
W-660- i must have really bombed the multiple choice part
Essay-12

I'm the opposite of most. I had prep for 1st time, no prep second time. +90 on 2nd try.

though you guys are all amazing with your realllllyyy good scores.. ims till really happy about my 2280!

I don't understand, the day after the March SAT, i went to CC to talk to others about the answers and it seemed that I had gotten alot of them right. Now I see that I got an extremly mediocre Math score. Kaplan course extremely broke my hopes. I had gotten an 800 on the last practice test. I dont know what to do. I have a 4.0, good ECs, vigorous course schedule. All i need is SATs and I cant seem to acheive that. Now I only have one more chance to take it in May and I dunno if I should even put myself through it anymore. I took my first practice ACT w/o studying and got a 33. Should I just concentrate on that one? Do colleges prefer one over the other? Thanks.
