How many colleges should one person apply to anyway?

2 or 3 reaches, 3 matches, 1 safety seems good. I know some of my friends are only applying to one school which I would advise against. If you can get a fee waiver you can basically apply to as many as you want if you're willing to fill the applications out.

What is a fee waiver? And how do I get the application?
