I know the book I read by Wissner also listed programs, but there was definitely more positioning/packaging/marketing advice as well. It was smarmy. I seriously doubt the one you are giving love to is less smarmy. Just curious, are you the author, or somehow involved in the publication?
Adding The College Solution by Lynn O’Shaughnessy to the list. I found it helpful because of a heavy emphasis on affordability.

I liked the College Solution. My kids enjoyed the Fiske Guide…even though they didn’t apply to very many of the schools listed in there, it still made for fun reading!

Starting in 7th grade seems a little like overkill…I wasn’t on CC until my kids were in high school. Didn’t seem to hinder them in any way. Why stress them out more?
