<p>I registered for the SAT for Oct 1st, but I'm getting double minded, my prep isn't that good and I'll be giving 2 SAT subject tests in november anyway, so I was thinking of giving the SAT (1) along with it in november. This way I will have a longer time to learn more words from the wordlists, and prepare better overall. </p>
<p>If I retake it not only will it be costly but I don't want universities to go all "oh so he took it twice? huh" or whatever. </p>
<p>Is it possible to postpone the sat you have registered without having to pay again?
Can one unregister, get their money back, and register again?
Or is it not possible at all?</p>

<p>Yes, you can change your SAT testing date. There is an additional fee to do so (around $25 I think?) though. Go onto the collegeboard SAT website and follow/search up the instructions.</p>
<p>MickyS, you can’t get your money back and then register again. You have to transfer the test date of your SAT reasoning test no later than 2-3 weeks before the original date. Here’s the link: </p>
