im taking the september 29th lsat and i have been doing very well on the logical reasoning and reading comp sections of the exam, which account for approx 77% of the questions on the overall lsat exam. I rarely miss anymore then 3 or 4 on a section in these areas. However, i feel i must be doing something very very wrong on the analytical games as not only does it take me forever to do each set, but i often can only get the first, second, and sometimes third questions right in a set and it takes me way to long to even get those right. I feel since im doing somewhat good on the rest of the test that it would be a shame to bomb this one section and ruin or deff damage my lsat score. I have tried to read over the test prep books sections on the games but i seem to still be having a lot of difficulty with them, not improving much at all. I have decided i need to get some private tutoring for just analytical reasoning over the next three weeks before the test and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. People have told me the powerscore games bible was excellent and i was wondering if i should possibly go through powerscore for my analytical games tutoring or if anyone had any other suggestions. I live in the San Diego area. Thanks again for any suggestions!

logic games bible. do some untimed so you can get a sense of what you have to do, and then some timed so you can see how long you have to do them (remember, you don't have to do them in order! if one game seems easier, you can do that first and when you get stuck move onto another one). and do the logic games sections of any previously administered test you can get your hands on.

and don't let anyone tell you it's too late to improve. i only studied for the lsat for 3 weeks and ended up with a 3 or 4 point gain (i forget which), which is not insignificant considering that's more than the difference between 25th and 75th percentiles at some schools. all of that gain came from improvement on logic games.

Are you using diagrams?

Definitely study the Powerscore logic games bible and get good at making the diagrams. I can't tell you how much time those diagrams save!! Using the diagrams makes it so much easier to eliminate wrong answers and find the correct answers much quicker!
