Practice Test 4, Q11 Dispute Demographic Inversion Passage

The question here says "Which choice best summarizes the first paragraph of the passage (lines 1-35)?

C) Population growth and demographic inversion are distinct, phenomena, and demographic inversion is evident in many American cities.

I have a dispute with the word “Many”. Does anyone also feel that “many” is not true?

The clause, “demographic inversion is evident in many American cities” is grammatically correct.

It’s basically another way of saying “a lot of”. The pronoun of “many” is describing “American cities”.

Right. I’m not disputing whether it’s grammatically correct or not. I’m disputing the fact that the passage doesn’t say that demographic inversion exists in MANY cities. I would be more comfortable with SOME.
