Is there only one edition of the Blue Book? (The Official SAT Study Guide) What do you do after you've finished all the practice tests? Are there any more "official" practice exams you can take, not like from PR or Kaplans, etc?

There are other versions. Not exactly sure how many, though. There's also one free SAT on collegeboard.com. Previous collegeboard tests are floating around in pdf format, so if you can get your hands on one of those, then you're set.

(And in case Big Brother's listening in, OF COURSE I am in no way implying that you deprive the money hungry SAT prep corporations of their money by soliciting copyrighted documents.)

I haven't had any luck finding any. But the 11 Practice Tests book from PR is a goldmine.

when is the next blue book coming out for 2008? does it have different tests?

the blue book never changes....unless the SAT test itself changes...

there are no new versions for 2008

I think you should already be ready for the SAT if you fully FINISHED and UNDERSTOOD every problem in the blue book. I mean, do you really need more than official 8 practice tests? I guess the only thing you should do is practice on hard problems (barron's 2400, etc) since after taking over 8 tests and understanding them all I'd just focus on are all the hard ones and skip all the superfluous stuff. That's what I would do. But what do I know, I haven't finished the blue book yet :)
But to answer your question, I'm pretty sure you can buy old released tests from CB.

Aren't there more tests on-line at collegeboard.com if you pay the fee?

In a couple of years (I think - and hope) the College Board will publish new "10 Real SATs", rendering the Blue Book somewhat obsolete (except among CC'ers and other hardcore SAT enthusiasts :D ).

Granny: Yes, the online SAT course offers six full-length practice tests.

There's a free SAT practice test on college board's website, and also I believe 6 or so practice tests in their online course.

Well, there aren't exactly explanations for answers in the Blue Book, are there? So how can you understand/improve what you missed?

Aside from the online ones, which other company would be recommended for practice with tests most similar to the real thing? I know Gruber's isn't since it's much harder.

I thought PR's 11 practice test was ghastly. The math section hardly resembled the real thing
